INVESTING IN THE FAMILY OF GOD
We invest in our WALK Church family in three distinct ways. Large gathering, small gathering, and one on one. Our large gatherings will consist of weekly corporate worship services that will come together in celebration of all that God is doing in the life of our church family. This celebration will consist of worship through song, teaching, giving, and fellowship. The second way we invest in our Walk family is through our Charge Groups. These groups are small huddles of Jesus followers, which meet weekly for the purpose of doing life together and discipling one another. Inside the Charge Group there will be opportunities to teach, pastor, and pray for one another. The third way of investment is through one on one discipleship. A recent statistic proved that 90% of disciples made, attribute their spiritual growth to a one on one relationship.
INVESTING IN THE CITY
While investing in our WALK Church family is a vital part of our fellowship and spiritual growth, investing in the city we live in is essential as well. God has entrusted to each one of us the ministry and message of reconciliation, which involves the reconciliation of all things – even the city! (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). We want to invest in the community we live in as well as the people we see on a daily basis, even if that means sacrificing our comforts to demonstrate the love of Christ! We believe that the harvest in Las Vegas is plentiful and that by using our God given talents, passions, and domains to invest in our city for the glory of Christ, we will see our city won back to Jesus!
God’s vision for WALK Church is much bigger than one church in one city. King David wrote in the Psalms, “God blesses us, that all the ends of the earth may fear Him” (Psalm 67:7 NASB). At Walk Church, we want to live out the commission given to us, which is to develop Kingdom leaders and raise up disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20). Throughout His ministry, Jesus was continually calling people to COME to Him and then GO share the good news with others. For this reason, success at WALK Church will be defined less by the number of people in seats on Sunday and more by the number of disciples being equipped to build and expand the Kingdom. It is our desire to mobilize disciples to engage in what God is doing both locally and globally.
